About HEDC

The Hamden Economic Development Corporation (HEDC) is an independent, 501(c)(4) non-profit corporation that is dedicated to the re-development of property and programs to benefit the Town of Hamden and its surrounding communities. HEDC serves as an additional tool for developing the tax base in Hamden and as an advocate for businesses in Town. The Corporation was formed as part of Hamden’s long-range Economic Development Plan and is focused on the redevelopment of contaminated or underperforming properties.

HEDC works in partnership with the Town of Hamden's Office of Economic and Community Development on behalf of businesses and residents of the Hamden community.
