Cluster Meetings Set for Early October
The Town of Hamden will hold two Business Cluster meetings in early October. These are meetings to provide a forum for important members of Hamden’s economy to collaborate with each other on common issues and to work as partners with the Town in order to be successful. “It is critical that we provide a consistent message to our economic development partners which acknowledges that the Town recognizes and appreciates the value of their contributions to the growth of Hamden”, stated Mayor Curt Leng.
Thursday October 1st: : Workforce Cluster
We will meet to discuss emerging trends in job training and to discuss common issues for agencies helping those looking for employment. Note this is not a Job Fair. This meeting is for Workforce agencies, schools including colleges and for advocacy groups. Topics will include Hamden’s growing employment trends, legislative needs and a review of developments in Hamden.
Thursday October 8th: Health Care Cluster.
Health care is the fastest growing cluster in Hamden’s economy. Attendees will be nursing and related care facilities, physicians, trainers and workforce partners. We will discuss Hamden incentive programs for health care business development legislative issues and leave time for a public forum
Both meetings will be held at Government Center in the third Floor conference room from 9-11 am. Light refreshments will be served.
