Welcome to the Hamden Economic Development Corporation

Hamden Economic Development Corporation (HEDC) is an independent non-profit development corporation with tax-exempt status from the IRS. The Hamden Economic Development Corporation (HEDC) is 501(c)(4) and serves as a tool for developing the tax base and as an advocate for business in communities throughout the New Haven Metro Region. HEDC is focused on redevelopment of contaminated or underperforming properties. The Board of Directors is comprised of members from business, design and development, banking, utilities and educational institutional partners. The Corporation also works in partnership with several regional economic development entities as well as local and metro Chambers of Commerce.
